Guild Rules

Omens in Dark Age of Camelot aims to give tribute to the guild 'Omen' that once existed in Star Wars Galaxies, and now lives on in World of Warcraft, and, with other names, is exploring other games.

The Omens in Star Wars Galaxies had only a few rules, all aimed at making the guild fun for all members. We don't expect you to turn up at certain times, do certain things, or play certain classes. All we ask is that you have fun, and help others have fun too.

With that in mind:

1. Keep guildchat clean (ish).

Yes, we all get annoyed with Mythic sometimes. If you are having a really bad day and swear or curse once or twice in frustration, thats cool and we don't mind. Swearing constantly is different. The odd inuendo is also fine, but consider who could be reading before speaking.

2. Respect The Crafters

We've all been broke at one time or another, we know what its like. Omens has crafters who will be willing to help you with gear as and when you need it, but please remember that these people are providing a service to the guild - they take time out of levelling characters or RvR-ing to sew, pound metal, or whatever. If they're busy doing something else when you ask for something made, accept that and be patient. Also, remember that while most of our crafters are willing to make levelling gear for free, they still expect at least a 'Thank You' - if you take the gear and run then they won't be so eager to help next time.

3. No Begging in Guildchat

This follows on from the comments about crafters. We do have high level characters in the guild. Some of them are not huge RvR fanatics and are spending time finishing off their Champion Levels in PVE. That does not mean they are there purely to get Aurulite for lower level characters, or to powerlevel you. If you need a hand with something, by all means ask, but please be willing to give something back.

4. Our Stance on Powerlevelling

Generally we don't like powerlevelling for normal characters. If you are auto training then that is a different case, but the rest of the time we prefer to keep powerlevelling out of guildchat. If someone offers to help you, then it is their choice, but don't expect it.

5. The Final Rule

Help eachother / Need Before Greed - whatever you want to call it. Don't hoarde stuff just for the sake of it. Periodically the senior members of the guild will share their magic items, weapons, etc to help out the mid level characters. Please do the same. Don't sell that chain you looted with +3 to Soulrending just because its blue to you when theres a reaver online that might be able to use it in a few levels. They might not want it, but it might perfectly fill out their spellcrafting.
